An invitation for you to join the cio investment club, in association with MetLife Investment Management, at a Transition Finance Investment Breakfast in London on Wednesday 24th April at 8:30am to 10:30am at Ten Trinity Club, 10 Trinity Square, London EC3N 4AJ.
The topic to be presented is Transition Finance: Opportunities for investors to support the low carbon economy of the future.
The energy transition represents a long-term capital trend which will have far reaching impacts across all areas of the economy, producing increasing risks and opportunities for companies and investors. Transition finance applies a sustainable investment strategy to the energy transition, targeting companies and assets across the economy which are taking credible steps to reduce their GHG emissions to net zero, and those providing the products, services and infrastructure which will enable decarbonization more broadly. The investment needed to finance the transition will be significant, with estimates ranging from US$2.4tn to as much as US$3.8tn annually to 2030 and sustained levels of investment continuing through 2050 and beyond. This talk will present an investor’s view of the opportunities to leverage and support the energy transition for fixed income portfolios, including within hard to abate sectors such as energy, basic materials and transport.
